Customer Review: Wow! This is a fabulous immersion blender true to the Vitamix brand!! I’m a happy owner of a Vitamix Pro 750 (used daily since 2012). This little, cute immersion blender has so much power! My boyfriend presented it to me as a Christmas gift but knew better than waiting until then to present it to me (because I already used it yesterday to make us pasta sauce from whole tomatoes, shallots, fresh basil and spices. It took me 45 seconds on level 2 to make dreamy sauce.I’m a power smoothie person and knew the true test would be my breakfast smoothie this morning. I layered the ingredients as instructed in the booklet (which is the opposite of what I do in my 750 Pro): cacao powder, sesame seeds, roasted peanuts, medjool dates, banana, water. I was skeptical it could produce a smooth smoothie in my actual big smoothie glass. Alas, I turned on the power, immersed this beauty into the ingredients as far down as it would go, started at speed 1 as they suggested and then cranked it slowly to speed 5. Ha! Speed 5 is so powerful I couldn’t move it so I put it down to 3 and blended for about 30 seconds. I was impressed! It made a creamy, dreamy smoothie! It wasn’t as smooth as my 750 Pro mainly because I still need to get the hang of moving the immersion blender around, up and down and figuring out the best speed and duration. It is awesome that I can easily clean it in a glass with water and a few drops of dish liquid in 10 seconds!I LOVE this immersion blender and look forward to making soups, sauces, nut butters and traveling with it once this pandemic is over.Thank you for another fabulous product, Vitamix family :-)—————December 20, 2020 update.I’ve used the immersion blender 1-3 times a day since December 7. My smoothies are very smooth. I made carrot/ginger/cashew soup yesterday and it was creamy, smooth and blended on speed 3 for about 45 seconds.I made coconut milk hot cacao with spices this evening and used speed 3. After blending, I heated it and it was smooth and delicious on a cold day.I also made fresh, chipped ginger /freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice using speed 5 and the juice came out pretty smooth. It had ginger pulp which I expected. What I really love is that I can blend it in any container (as long as it’s wide enough) so I don’t dirty as many dishes. I also like that I can blend snall quantities that are too small to blend in my Vitamix 750 Pro.I’m very happy with it.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I fall in LOVE with this Braun MultiQuick all over again every morning. For anyone who doesn’t know, there’s this thing called Bulletproof Coffee. I make it for breakfast, it’s basically coffee with butter (grass fed) and coconut oil (MTC). It’s really good and healthy, but it has to be blended because oil and water don’t tend to mix well lol. So that’s what I use my Braun for every morning, but that’s not all. I’ve used a Braun MultiQuick to make mayonnaise and so many other things, and it’s always done an amazing job. It’s really worth your money, period. Keep reading though, I have a lot more to say ;)I’ve used all 3 versions of the MultiQuick, which I’ll just call the 5, 7, and 9 over the course of many years. They come in different packages, with different accessories, but the main unit itself really only has the 3 variations. This review is for the 7, and is the one I currently have. The 7 is also the one I like most! The 9 is great, but it’s expensive, and totally overkill for just doing mostly coffee lol, plus it has a safety button on top that you have to press before the trigger works. I don’t have kids, so that safety button just ends up annoying me, but I can imagine a lot of people would appreciate that feature a lot more than I do.The 5 is also a great device, and still runs flawlessly after 5+ years and has plenty of power, even mayo is no problem. I wanted to upgrade because the 5 isn’t anything special to look at and only has 2 speeds, plus the 5 technically belongs to my former roommate. The 7 is my perfect match, like I’m Goldilocks and these are the 3 bears blenders ;DOne of the reasons I love Braun MultiQuick blenders so much is that they designed the shape of the device around the blades to redirect the force downwards. I think they called it a “modified bell shape” somewhere, and you get this on all the models, the 5, 7, and 9. This actually does a lot to help this blender outperform others. For starters the force down means unlike other hand blenders, it doesn’t try to suck down to the bottom and stay there with a lot of suction to the point that you might have to let the blender slow down or stop to pull it back up and finish the job. The other thing that becomes obvious when you use other hand blenders for coffee or other watery liquids, is that it will spin up and out of a container rather easily because the blades fling the liquid straight outwards pretty violently. When I use a Braun, all I have to do is use a mason jar and never have to worry about my coffee getting flung out all over the kitchen counter (unless of course I overfill it! LOL)So of course I’d recommend a Braun MultiQuick any day of the week, and even though I haven’t tried all the other brands, I’ve tried a lot while traveling or with friends, and they are always disappointing and I always appreciate the Braun MultiQuick more after I’m done.
Customer Review: I absolutely love this blender! I mainly use it for blending protein shakes and supplements, and it works incredibly well every time—smooth and consistent results with no lumps. Super easy to use and clean. Highly recommend!

It retains the beastly 1100W motor and intuitive trigger control but adds a dedicated chopper/grinder attachment, making it capable of everything from soup to salsa to nut butters. The included whisk and frother are still there. The standout feature is the unique nylon blade guard on the main shaft, which is specifically designed to prevent scratching your precious pots—a common pain point with metal-bladed blenders.

- ✓ 1100W Full Copper Motor: Maximum power for blending and chopping tasks.
- ✓ 5-in-1 System: Blender shaft, chopper, whisk, frother, and measuring cup.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I use this to make smoothies. I have a glass mug that is just the right size to accommodate the blender.I usually make mine with frozen bananas, frozen strawberries and coconut milk. I used to use a regular counter top blender, two of them died so I thought I try an immersion blender. For my purposes this one is more than adequate for my needs. I like the fact that has so many speeds, I start it on a lower speed and crank it up as the frozen fruit starts getting ground up. I would prefer if the speed control was on the body of the blender versus on the top. To adjust the speed I need to use both hands, one to hold the blender and the other to adjust the speed control. This being my first immersion blender I assume that they all do this, what is “this”? Well as my smoothie is basically fully blended, if I get the blender too close to the bottom of the mug, it gets pulled to the bottom of the mug and sorta sticks to the mug. You can pull it up but you will notice the effort needed. Probably a mug without such a wide, flat bottom wouldn’t have that issue.Cleaning this is a breeze, far easier and quicker than cleaning your standard counter top blender. Complete Buying Guide for Best Immersion Blenders for Soup
Essential Factors We Consider
Choosing the right immersion blender for your soup-making needs boils down to a few key factors. Power (watts) is paramount—look for at least 200-300 watts for basic purees, but 600+ watts will handle tough vegetables, frozen ingredients, and large batches without stalling. Speed Control matters too; simple low/high switches are fine for most, but variable speed triggers or dials offer more finesse for delicate sauces. Blade Design is critical for soup; a four-prong or multi-blade head creates a better vortex and smoother texture than a two-blade design. Build & Comfort—an ergonomic, non-slip grip and a stainless steel shaft are musts for safety and durability. Finally, consider attachments. A whisk or chopper adds versatility, but if you only make soup, a simple stick is best.
Budget Planning
You can find a capable immersion blender for soup across a wide range. Budget models ($25-$50) like the Cuisinart Smart Stick or basic Turelar models offer solid performance for occasional use. Mid-range ($50-$100) is where you get the best value—models from Braun, Ninja, and more powerful Turelar kits offer excellent motors, better ergonomics, and useful attachments. Premium ($100+) like the Vitamix deliver unparalleled power, refined engineering (like Braun’s Power Bell), and “buy-it-for-life” durability. Set your budget based on how often you’ll use it and for what tasks.
Final Thoughts
The best immersion blender for soup is the one that fits seamlessly into your cooking routine. For the absolute best performance and durability, the Vitamix is hard to beat. For the ultimate blend of power, versatility, and smart design that minimizes mess, the Braun MultiQuick 7 is a genius choice. If you want maximum power and attachments on a budget, the 1100W 3-in-1 or 5-in-1 models are phenomenal values. And for simple, reliable, everyday use, you can’t go wrong with the classic Cuisinart Smart Stick. Any of these top picks will transform your soup-making from a chore into a joy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use an immersion blender for hot soup directly in the pot?
A: Absolutely! That is the primary purpose of an immersion blender. The long shaft allows you to blend hot liquids safely right in your cooking pot, eliminating the dangerous and messy step of transferring scalding soup to a countertop blender. Just ensure the blade is fully submerged before turning it on to prevent splashing.
Q: What wattage do I need for making soup?
A: For most vegetable soups and purees, a motor between 200-300 watts is sufficient. However, if you plan to blend large batches, very dense ingredients like potatoes or carrots, or add frozen vegetables, a motor with 500 watts or more (like the Vitamix’s 625W or the 1100W models) will provide noticeably smoother results with less effort and no stalling.
Q: How do I clean an immersion blender after making soup?
A: Cleaning is one of the biggest advantages. Most blending shafts are dishwasher safe (top rack), but the quickest method is to fill a tall glass or measuring cup with warm soapy water, immerse the blender shaft, and run it for 10-15 seconds. Rinse thoroughly. Always wipe the motor body with a damp cloth—never submerge it.
Q: Will an immersion blender scratch my non-stick pots?
A: A metal blade can potentially scratch delicate non-stick surfaces. To avoid this, look for models with a nylon or plastic blade guard (like some 1100W models) or be very careful to keep the blade moving and not rest it on the pot’s surface. The Braun and Ninja designs with their bell-shaped guards are also generally gentler on cookware.
Q: What’s the difference between a trigger and a button speed control?
A> A trigger (or variable speed dial) offers infinite speed control—the more you squeeze or turn, the faster it goes. This allows for very fine adjustments and smooth ramping up of speed. Button controls have pre-set speed levels (e.g., low, high, turbo). Triggers feel more intuitive for many, while buttons offer distinct, repeatable settings. Both are effective.
