Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I really don’t understand why this thing is so amazing. I bought this for my mom because she was having stomach valve surgery and could only have purées. I read a lot of the reviews and am happy I made this decision! I also have a baby and I would save certain foods to make at her house because the bear baby blender just couldn’t cut it on a few items (do not do leafy greens in the bear). The blade seems flimsy but it works magically. The glass container doesn’t fit a ton of food but it’s sturdy and one batch of anything is still enough for my purposes. All of it is easy to clean.”

Customer Review: “Well made. Easy to use. Very versatile. Easy cleanup. Reasonably priced. I’ve ordered three more as gifts!!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This blender is amazing! It’s easy to put together. It works great has amazing power it really purées. The blades are nice and sharp and it’s worth every penny. I use it for more than just my babies food.”

Customer Review: “I love this baby food maker. A week before I ordered it, I ordered another brand, which I am not fond of. This one is smaller than the other brand (Bear). It’s a better size for my use. This one is great for pureeing a small can of cat food so I can syringe feed a couple of my cats. BABY MAKER VS. VITAMIX BLENDER—PROS AND CONS. I bought the baby maker so I wouldn’t have to keep using my much taller Vitamix for such a small amount of cat food. It was hard trying to get out all the puree way at the bottom of the Vitamix, a lot getting stuck around the blade assembly. Unlike the baby maker, the blade assembly of the Vitamix is not removable. So there was food I couldn’t get out with the spatula. The baby maker is better (although not perfect) because the container is smaller and the blade assembly is removable. But there is still loss of food. On another note, the single speed baby maker is not nearly as powerful as the Vitamix. I have never been able to get a smooth, thin puree with a baby maker like I have with the Vitamix. If you need a super thin puree, I wouldn’t pick a baby maker. I don’t think they are up to the task. Still, for my purposes, I am able to syringe the baby food puree even if it’s not as smooth. I’ve been looking at some short higher watt smoothie makers. This is a work in progress!”

It blends fruits and vegetables smoothly and is easy to clean after use. However, if you want to blend dry rice, this is not for that purpose. Overall, it’s perfect for making baby food and I highly recommend it.”

All of it is easy to clean. She hand washes everything and there is no weird sticky corners or crevices like a normal blender blade. I love it so much I’m buying another one for my house. I wish they just sold the blender part as we don’t need the other items but they are handy to have around. The freezer food container is not silicone but seems as they advertise that correctly in the title, I just assumed it would be. Hopefully the motor lasts for a long time and they start selling packs with one motor but two containers w/blades and replacement parts!”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I was so excited to received this item. At first I was hesitate because you never know what you get from ordering from a unwell known brand. However in the end I am pleased with my baby food maker. Along with the baby food maker you are gifted reusable pouches. (so you can start making food and storing right away) The pouches are of good quality and you can but it in the freezer, however it states not to put it in the microwave. If you register your baby food maker, they’ll send you a silicone bowl which has a suction cup in the bottom so it stays in place and a silicone spoon which was great as a first time feeding spoon because it’s soft and has a long handle. The food maker itself worked well. The control panel is touched screen and is easy to wipe down. It steams really well if you cut the food in small size. I just steamed chicken and its cooked well through. The stirring cup, blade and steaming basket are easy to clean. I use the self cleaning setting and also hand wash it then use the sterilizing setting. ( yes I do all that but it is not necessary). My only problem was when the water tank grew rust spots inside despite cleaning and drying it after ever use. I was quite disappointment, and reached out to the company. Amazingly after describing the issue and sending pictures, the owner reached out to me and sent me over a new food maker (With squeezable pouches) . I was so happy. Seems like the customer service is the owner herself. Im sure she is very busy, yet still quickly responded and rectify the problem. I haven’t had any rust issue with my replacement. When you register your food maker, you are directed to Facebook messenger. That where you complete your registry and to reach out and stay in touch with the company. I recommend this prouduct based on the customer service and as well as all the products they send you just for purchasing their products. No other company does that. But I mostly recommend this item because I like to support and respect women/mom owned business.”

Customer Review: “My husband and I were so excited when our pediatrician told us we could start solids. We went to the store and bought some baby food; right before we started I found a lawsuit online regarding heavy metals in various baby foods. There was no way we were going to feed our son that but the thought of making our own baby food seemed daunting. I went online to purchase the baby bullet thinking that was my only option but came across this instead. I cannot express how amazing this product has been. It steams and blends the food, works well, really easy to clean and we sit down at dinner knowing I’m feeding healthy quality food to my son. Its very easy to use, i just throw in whatever veggie we are eating for dinner and its ready in 15 mins or less. I also have an 11 year old with extracurriculars, pets, a chore list a mile long and endless dishes in the sink, so clean up is really important. This unit SELF CLEANS (no scrubbing and not a lot of parts/pieces. So easy!) and has a sanitize function as well that you can use to sanitze the unit but you can also throw binkys or teethers in there!! I would 100% recommend this to any family with babies. You won’t regret this purchase.”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Blenders to Make Baby Food

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing a baby food blender, safety is paramount. Look for BPA-free materials—glass bowls are superior to plastic as they don’t stain or harbor odors. Stainless steel blades (preferably 316 grade for corrosion resistance) ensure clean cuts. Ease of cleaning is critical; removable blade assemblies and dishwasher-safe parts save huge time. Consider capacity: small (5-10oz) for single servings, large (20-32oz) for batch cooking. Functionality varies—some only blend, others steam and blend. Noise level matters if you’re blending while baby naps. Finally, durability—a powerful motor (200+ watts) handles tough foods like meat and sweet potatoes.

Budget Planning

You can find a reliable baby food blender from $30 to $150. Budget models ($30-$50) like our #3 pick offer basic blending with glass bowls. Mid-range ($50-$100) includes steaming functions and better accessories (our #1, #2, #6). Premium ($100+) adds automation, touch screens, and extensive kits (our #4, #9). Decide if you need steaming—it adds cost but simplifies prep. Remember, cheaper isn’t always better; a flimsy motor may die after a few months. Investing in a well-built model with good reviews pays off long-term.

Final Thoughts

The best blender for baby food depends on your routine. If you batch-cook, prioritize large capacity and steaming. If you make fresh daily, a compact, easy-clean model shines. All our top picks are safe, effective, and parent-friendly. Don’t overcomplicate—sometimes a simple, well-designed blender is all you need. Look for glass construction, stainless steel blades, and easy disassembly. Your future self (and your baby’s tummy) will thank you.

Q: Can I use a regular blender instead of a baby food maker?

A: Yes, you can use a regular blender, but baby food makers are designed for small batches and often have safer materials (BPA-free, glass). Regular blenders may have larger capacities, leading to waste, and their blades aren’t optimized for the ultra-smooth textures babies need. A dedicated baby blender is more convenient and efficient for single servings.

Q: How do I clean a baby food blender properly?

A: Disassemble all removable parts immediately after use. Rinse the blade assembly carefully—use a brush to clean between blades. Most bowls, blades, and gaskets are dishwasher safe (top rack). For motor bases, wipe with a damp cloth. Some models have self-cleaning cycles—just add soapy water and run the blender. Always dry thoroughly before reassembling to prevent mold.

Q: What features are essential for a baby food maker?

A: Look for BPA-free materials (glass or high-grade plastic), stainless steel blades, and easy disassembly. Steaming capability is a huge plus for nutrient retention. One-touch operation simplifies use. Dishwasher-safe parts save time. Consider capacity based on your cooking style—small for fresh daily, large for batch freezing.

Q: How long can I store homemade baby food?

A: In the fridge, purees last 48-72 hours in airtight containers. In the freezer, they keep for 3-6 months. Use ice cube trays or freezer-safe containers labeled with dates. Thaw in the fridge overnight or using the defrost function on your blender. Never refreeze thawed puree. Always smell and inspect before feeding—discard if off-smelling or discolored.

Q: Are plastic or glass baby food makers better?

A: Glass is generally superior—it doesn’t stain, retain odors, or leach chemicals (even BPA-free plastics can degrade over time). Glass bowls are also more durable against scratches. However, glass is heavier and can break if dropped. High-quality, BPA-free plastic (like PP) is lightweight and shatterproof, but may absorb colors and smells over time. For safety and longevity, glass is the top choice.
