Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I only got my air fryer yesterday and already raving about it. I hadn’t got one sooner as I don’t eat a lot of fried food. But then I found out you can roast, bake, etc in it so decided to try one out. I went with the AmazonBasics one as 1) It was less expensive than others of equivalent size, 2) I have purchased several other AmazonBasics items and all have been great and 3) For the most part the reviews were great. PROS:- While I thought it seemed a bit large when I unpacked it since all the controls and the basket are on the front you can have it on a countertop under cabinets.- Basket is LARGE! You could cook a lot in there! You can also cook an entire meal by adding items that take less time to cook later on.- So easy to use. Just set your temp and time and press start.- You can remove the basket without turning it off first to check progress. Then it continues where you left off once you put it back in.- Automatically shuts off when done.- Excess power cord tucks inside back of fryer keeping it neat.- So far everything I’ve cooked has come out perfect. I was especially surprised at how absolutely perfect and evenly cooked chicken thighs were which were the very first thing I cooked. AMAZING! Best thighs I’ve ever cooked and this was my FIRST TIME cooking them!!!- Clean up is super simple. Just remove the basket and drip pan, separate and wash in the sink. Both cleaned really easily. Such a difference from if I made these items in the stove or oven. CONS:- I don’t like the placement of the power button. It’s where “ON” is on most microwaves including my own. So twice now I’ve set the temp, set the time and then shut it off. So that means having to go back through the temp, time setting again.- “Cooking Hints” on top are in Celsius when the air fryer is in Fahrenheit. Even if you lived where they use Celsius you can’t change the fryer to Celsius so this makes NO sense. What a waste. At least it’s under my cabinets so I don’t see it!- Temp only goes up in increments of 10. So you will have to adjust cooking times that call for 325, 375, etc.- I find it odd that it doesn’t save the last temp that you used when you turn it back on. It’s always 360 degrees which also a temp you would likely never use – so why not 350 which so many items are cooked at? Since none of the Cons affect the quality of how food will turn out I still give this fryer 5 stars. Hopefully they’ll change the Celsius cooking tips though because that is just so pointless! Pictures:- showing how it fits nicely under cabinets- Blasted Broccoli – took about 7 minutes at 350- Roasted beets and pattypan squash – 15 minutes at 350- Chicken thighs – 40 minutes at 350 (would have only been 300 at 400 but I was cooking the veggies at the same time)- Home friends – 15 minutes at 390- button placement on the control panel- the weird “Cooking Tips” in Celsius – WHYYYYY? Edit: since I posted this review I’ve made twice baked (well really twice air fried) potatoes, brats, a frittata, a Cornish game hen and brownies – all perfect! Get one of the air fryer accessory kits with the pans and racks they are awesome and pretty inexpensive. They also most often come with parchment liners.”
Customer Review: “First air fryer/ love it! Multi functional. Love it!”

Customer Review: “My first air fryer, and it works perfectly! I use it in my bedroom to cook up food I keep in my mini fridge. Easy to clean this baby too, I just use dish soap and hot water. It’s important to not use cooking oil in it though, I heard it peels the paint. The fryer is tough and has plenty room for large amounts of food. So yeah, I think this was a good purchase. Great air fryer!”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I absolutely love this air fryer! It heats up quickly and cooks food evenly and crispy without needing much oil. The digital controls are easy to use, and the preset options make cooking simple and convenient. I really like the window design because I can check on the food without opening it. It’s spacious enough to cook multiple items at once, yet it doesn’t take up too much counter space. Cleaning is also very easy. Great quality and totally worth the price! Highly recommend!”
Customer Review: “I researched so many air fryers and almost went with the glass front dual drawer Instant Pot brand because I love Instant Pot so much, but what sold me on this was the metal interior, the three metal shelves, in the footprint being tall versus wide so it takes up less counter space. I’ve had this 6 months and it is my most used appliance in the kitchen, and that’s saying something. Maybe my toaster is used more than this, but that’s it. Every other appliance is second. Even my Instant Pot! Baked apples, open face cheese melts of all kinds, brussel sprouts, baked oatmeal, salmon, potato wedges, fries of course; I can’t begin to list everything. It’s great at reheating everything I’ve tried. Really it’s just a really tiny oven. I haven’t tried to rotisserie chicken yet, but I’m doing that this weekend. So if it doesn’t go well I’ll come back and do edits. The three shelves are the easiest to clean ever! I thought everything would stick in the holes, but they don’t. It’s just the right amount of shelves and they’re just the right size to do everything I’ve wanted to do. My only complaint is that the outside is plastic and not wonderful plastic at that. I so wish the outside was high quality stainless steel. I would have paid double for it. I’m pretty picky when it comes to appliances. I don’t want a one-trick pony and taking up all my kitchen space and not being worth the space they take up. So to give this air fryer this type of glowing review is a bit rare. But it deserves every star and more.”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I love this toaster oven. I had been looking for a very long time for an oven without PFAS or off gasing chemicals, and at a reasonable price. Most non stick surfaces have these chemicals. This oven has an enameled interior and roasting/baking pan. Very easy to wipe down and to clean and no chemicals. I love it. It is nice and roomy inside as well. Every oven operates differently so it did take some time to get used to programming, but it is not hard to understand! It’s easy to use, seems very well made, and can use this instead of heating up the kitchen with the big oven. Love that it also has the air fryer option. The exterior does get hot so you should allow room around the oven.”
Customer Review: “I am very pleased with my Val//Cucina toaster oven, it does everything, roast, broil, air fry toast, warm, what more could you ask for. The oven was bought mainly for baking and its done the job perfectly. Set the timer and it shuts off automatically, also has a short preheat. I would recommend. It will allow me to have more counter space by eliminating appliances, that’s a plus. Shirley V”

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “This is a really nice unit and it is perfect for just about everything we use it for. It doesn’t take up a ton of space on the counter, but it is rather tall. We are probably saving a ton of money not having to heat up a full-size oven because we use this all the time. Highly recommended!”
Customer Review: “This is a really beautiful oven. I got it in white and it is stunning. The air fryer basket is roomy which is so nice. There are only two shelves … an upper and a lower so be sure to ready the instructions on which one use for which cooking option. I made toast and it was perfect. It bakes well and quickly. I was very pleased that the air fry noise was very soft. The instruction manual was easy to follow and includes recipes too. The top gets warm so don’t put anything on top of it that you would not want to get warm or melt. I previously have a Ninja Crispi and you can put so much more food in this oven. I highly recommend.”
Complete Buying Guide for Best Air Fryers
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing an air fryer, capacity is the first thing to think about. A 3-4 quart basket suits 1-2 people, while 5-6 quarts works for small families. For larger families or frequent entertaining, look for 8+ quarts or a dual-basket model. Functions matter too: basic air fryers may only have one or two settings, while advanced models offer roast, bake, dehydrate, reheat, and even rotisserie. Wattage (typically 1400-1800W) affects cooking speed and evenness. Ease of cleaning is huge—look for dishwasher-safe, nonstick baskets and accessories. Finally, consider footprint: basket-style models are more compact, while oven combos are taller but replace other appliances.
Budget Planning
Air fryer prices range from under $60 for basic compact models to over $300 for large, multifunctional units. The sweet spot for value is $80-$150, where you’ll find reliable performance, good capacity (4-6 quarts), and multiple functions. The Amazon Basics model at the low end proves you can get solid results on a budget. Premium models ($200+) offer advanced tech like dual zones, ceramic coatings, or rotisserie functions. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do air fryers really make food crispy without much oil?
A: Yes! Air fryers use rapid hot air circulation to mimic deep frying. A light coating of oil (or sometimes none at all) on foods like potatoes or chicken wings can yield a very crispy exterior. Results are best with foods that have a natural starch or a light batter.
Q: Can you put raw meat in an air fryer?
A: Absolutely. Air fryers are excellent for cooking raw chicken, steak, pork chops, and even whole chickens (in larger models or oven combos). Always ensure meat reaches a safe internal temperature using a meat thermometer.
Q: How do you clean an air fryer?
A: Most baskets and trays are dishwasher safe (check your manual). For stuck-on food, soak in warm soapy water. The interior can be wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive scrubbers on nonstick surfaces. Regular cleaning after each use prevents buildup and odors.
Q: What’s the difference between an air fryer and a convection oven?
A: Both use a fan to circulate hot air. An air fryer is a countertop appliance with a focused, high-speed fan and a basket that allows hot air to circulate around the food from all sides, typically resulting in crispier results faster. A convection oven is larger, uses a slower fan, and is better for baking or larger batches.
Q: Are air fryers worth it?
A: For most people, yes. They cook faster than a conventional oven, use less oil for healthier meals, and are energy-efficient for small batches. They’re versatile enough for fries, veggies, chicken, reheating pizza, and even baking. If you value convenience and healthier cooking, an air fryer is a worthwhile investment.
